We laughed and played,
We hugged and cried.
On the grass in the night,
Thats where we lied.
I gazed into her eyes,
She gazed into mine.
Then soft words she spoke,
Which seemed to stop time.
Of all the problems in the world,
How small they all seem now.
How lucky was I to be with her,
I fondly wondered how.
Then I awoke from my deep sleep,
And found to my despise.
As I looked around my lonely room,
They were nothing but beautiful lies.
